A politician, a Pakistani teen, an Afghani refuge, a poverty escapee and a successful actress though evidently different have all influenced millions. As a young female in a male dominated world, I strive to imitate their ambition and make a lasting impact on the world. Yes, I will say it, I am a Feminist. I don't fully understand why the 'F' word constantly feared by woman but I expect this explanation might make you change your mind. As Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie explained in Beoyonce's song FLAWLESS a Feminist is "a person who believes in the social, political, and economic equality of the sexes." I don't know about you but that sounds pretty good to me! All of the women pictured have fought for this equality from the oval office to the schools of Pakistan. These woman are proof that one person can change society norms regardless of the many obstacles faced. They have made our world a better place to live and now it is our turn to imitate them and continue their mission.
